Mobility Options

MRES students may participate in European/international mobility programs of UNIWA, such as ERASMUS+, RISE, etc. This option is available for students enrolled in the 2nd and 3rd semester of study, however. Students enrolled in the 1st semester are required to spend the semester in UNIWA in order to have a smooth introduction and familiarization with the program style of study and requirements and to build a sound foundation of their research project together with their UNIWA supervisor.

Regarding the course module correspondence required in the relevant learning agreements, MRES is flexible in accepting correspondence for the (uncommon to find elsewhere) taught modules MRES.B.01 and MRES.B.02, in order to facilitate student exchanges. Research-oriented modules MRES.B.03 and MRES.C.01 are both considered as thesis-type modules and are therefore treated on a per-case agreement between the local and the international supervising professors.

MRES welcomes incoming international students at all three semesters of study and academic staff is willing to act as research supervisors for incoming students at the MSc thesis stage.

Finally, MRES encourages faculty and staff mobility within the ERASMUS+ UNIWA programs and welcomes incoming faculty and staff as well (https://erasmus.uniwa.gr/en/homepage/ ).

Besides ERASMUS+ or other ‘horizontal’ mobility and exchange programs at the UNIWA level, MRES students can benefit from mobility options in the framework of standing bilateral agreements and/or Memoranda Of Understanding (MOUs) between the Research Laboratory of their supervisor in MRES and international institutes or academic institutions. Interested students can visit the departmental Research Laboratory websites for more information on these options (https://eee.uniwa.gr/en/research/research-labs ).
